Last week, Set.Up Guimarães Cowork was opened, a new collaborative work space located on Rua Paio Galvão. This space of the Set.Up Guimarães municipal incubator was created to respond to changes in the world of work, attracting and supporting freelancers, entrepreneurs and digital nomads.

At the inauguration session, Domingos Bragança, president of Guimarães City Council, highlighted the importance of spaces like Set.Up Cowork to create working conditions that enhance entrepreneurship and partnerships between young people with innovative projects. “These are fundamental spaces for attracting young entrepreneurs who have a wealth of ideas, which we must nurture and make grow,” he stated.

The opening of this space coincides with the end of Economy Month, during which the president insists on the need to transform companies, predominantly in the so-called traditional sectors, into technological companies, in which they are transitioning from labor-intensive to knowledge-intensive intensive, and to enhance the window of opportunity to add to our economic structure, industrial diversification based on our robust scientific ecosystem, such as the new economy of space, health and biomaterials.
