Techstars Startup Week arrives in Portugal, in Guimarães, from October 21st to 25th, celebrating the startup ecosystem with events and networking.

For the first time in Portugal, Techstars Startup Week will be held in Guimarães, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and enthusiasts of the startup ecosystem in October.

From October 21st to 25th, the city will host a five-day global event that celebrates and enhances the local startup ecosystem. During this period, entrepreneurs, students, businesspeople and investors will have the opportunity to share knowledge, explore new trends and celebrate advances in entrepreneurship in an inspiring atmosphere.

The Guimarães event is part of the global initiative by Techstars, the most active pre-seed investor in the world, which has already invested in more than 4,000 companies through its startup accelerators. Founded in 2006, Techstars operates accelerator programs and venture capital funds, connecting startups, investors, companies and cities to help build thriving startup communities.

Part of the Economy Month of the Municipality of Guimarães, Techstars Startup Week aims to inspire, connect and strengthen the local entrepreneurial community. The event will feature renowned speakers and mentors, such as André Jordão, CEO of Barkyn, and João Pedro Ribeiro, COO of PeekMed, among other business leaders and innovators.

Organized in partnership with the Municipality of Guimarães and other entities, such as Set.Up Guimarães, Startup Portugal and ANJE, Techstars Startup Week Guimarães will take place at SITIO Guimarães, at MITH – Minho Innovation & Technology Hub.
