Techstars Startup Week Guimarães entered one of its most exciting stages today, October 17: the pitch competition, where eight startups took the stage to present their innovative ideas and projects to investors, entrepreneurs, and the community.
The event, held at the José de Guimarães International Arts Center (CIAJG), was also streamed online by CISAVE, expanding the reach and impact of the initiative that, throughout the week, has placed Guimarães at the center of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Startups Manuscript DocAI, Planta Smart Homes, Coalex.ai, +Build, Axios Care, Invisible Lab, Complear, and Insight Digital Ibéria were the morning’s protagonists, presenting their visions and business models to a panel of evaluators and investors in an exercise that combined creativity, strategy, and execution capability.
The session began with a welcome to participants, followed by the highly anticipated pitch competition, where each founder had just a few minutes to win over the audience and jury. The presentations showcased a wide diversity of areas, from artificial intelligence and digital health to energy efficiency, sustainable construction, and technological solutions for industry, reflecting the dynamism and multidisciplinarity of Guimarães’ innovative ecosystem.
After a coffee break, the event continued with the talk “The Power of a Global Network to Build and Scale from Portugal to the World”, led by Ricardo Mesquita from Endeavor, who highlighted the importance of international networks in accelerating startups and creating globally ambitious businesses.
The highlight came with the announcement of the winning startups: first place went to Axios Care, for its innovative digital health solution; second place to Coalex.AI; and third place to Complear.
The session concluded with a relaxed networking environment, providing opportunities for direct contact between entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors.
Part of Techstars Startup Week Guimarães, one of the central events of Guimarães Economy Month 2025, this competition reinforces the municipality’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and value creation in the region, giving a platform to new ideas that can transform the future of the local and national economy.
