SET.UP Guimarães will host the Creative Session “SIFIDE Made Simple | Boosting Innovation in Companies” on December 11, at 5:00 PM. This initiative aims to clarify, in a simple and practical way, how SIFIDE works and help companies understand how to transform investment in innovation into a concrete and sustainable tax benefit. SIFIDE – the System of Tax Incentives for Business R&D – is currently one of the most important tools to strengthen the competitiveness of companies investing in research and development, and this session intends to present its advantages, essential requirements, and the opportunities it offers to support the development of innovative projects.
The session will feature Sofia Xavier, economist and specialist in incentive systems, with more than 15 years of experience in the field. Graduating in Economics from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto in 2009, she began her career at a consulting firm, where she was responsible for preparing applications for financial incentives. One year later, she joined one of the world’s largest multinational consulting firms (a big-four company), becoming part of the founding team of the financial incentives department and working with major national and international economic groups.
After six years, she embraced a new professional challenge specialized in R&D tax benefits, gaining extensive experience in preparing SIFIDE applications that enabled companies to achieve significant Corporate Income Tax savings. Motivated by the desire to create something of her own and offer a more personalized and client-focused service, she founded PrimeRise Consulting, where she now serves as CEO.
Held online, the event aims to be a useful and enlightening moment for managers, entrepreneurs, and innovation teams seeking to understand how to use this incentive strategically in the development and growth of their businesses.
