Set.Up IN(dustry), an intensive acceleration program that transforms new ideas into successful businesses, through a set of workshops and individualized coaching. The initiative facilitates the connection between new startups and industrial companies in the Municipality of Guimarães, stimulating the growth of a new industrial culture in the region, based on innovative solutions.
Entrepreneurs can participate, individually or as a team, with creative, technological or knowledge-intensive business ideas. The program seeks teams of entrepreneurs who are developing innovative projects, with market potential and impact in the region.
The program is divided into two distinct phases:
- in the first phase, the selected teams will have the opportunity to participate in a set of 8 acceleration workshops that address the various themes of the entrepreneurial journey (Voice of the Customer, Market and Competition, Strategy and Business Model, Finance, Sales and Digital Marketing, Prototyping and Productization, Internationalization and Pitch) and several hours of individualized coaching to develop the business idea;
- in a second phase, the selected teams will have access to industrial incubation in a company located in the Municipality, the assignment of a mentor in the industry and specialized monitoring for the development of the business project.
So far, the program has supported already 54 startups, promoted more than 300 hours of mentoring and consultancy, more than 120 hours of training and workshops and more than 60 meetings between participating startups, industry, academic interfaces and R&D centers.
