On February 25th, the Cantina of IPCA hosted INNHOTON, where Set.Up Guimarães challenged secondary school and IPCA students to turn challenges into innovative solutions, exploring entrepreneurship and circular economy in a creative and collaborative way.

The morning kicked off with energy, and as time went on, the first part of the event included sessions on Circular Economy, where participants were encouraged to rethink consumption cycles and discover how waste can be transformed into resources.

This was followed by a hands-on session led by Set.Up Guimarães, where students not only learned how to solve real problems and apply innovation methodologies but were also challenged to turn ideas into businesses with potential. In a collaborative atmosphere, participants were inspired to explore new paths and creative solutions to tackle current environmental challenges.

The event moved on to the most anticipated moment: creation. Divided into multidisciplinary teams, the young participants were tasked with working together and, with entrepreneurial spirit high, developing solutions for real sustainability and circular economy challenges. Over the course of two hours, ideas flowed, and prototypes emerged. At the end of INNHOTON, the groups presented their creative solutions and received constructive feedback from experts and organizers.

Organized by IPCA, INHOTON is part of the international RUN-EU project and is a competition inspired by the hackathon format. It brings together mixed teams of high school and IPCA students, focusing on developing innovative solutions in the field of Circular Economy.
