The Set.Up Guimarães, in partnership with the Espaço Empresa de Guimarães, held today an entrepreneurship workshop for students from the Agrupamento de Escolas Francisco de Holanda.

The initiative aimed to promote an entrepreneurial mindset, foster creativity, and raise students’ awareness of business idea development, while introducing essential tools and skills for their future professional paths.

During the session, the importance of business plan development was also addressed as a key instrument to structure entrepreneurial ideas, assess project feasibility, and define implementation and sustainable growth strategies.

Participants were also introduced to different business models, analysing practical examples from international companies such as Uber, based on the platform economy, Nespresso, built on a product-and-consumable model, and Airbnb, which transformed the accommodation sector through asset sharing. These cases demonstrated how innovation can emerge not only from products, but also from the way businesses are structured and delivered to the market.

The session included moments of reflection on innovation, value creation, and entrepreneurship opportunities, strengthening the connection between the local business ecosystem and the educational community.
