he Innovation Forum – Innovation as a Driver of Sustainability and Competitiveness – will take place on June 30th , between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm , at the Teatro Jordão in Guimarães .
This event aims to promote discussion on the role of innovation as a driver of sustainability and competitiveness in industry, contributing to a more resilient Europe, better prepared for the challenges of the future.
In a European context marked by global challenges, such as strategic autonomy and collective security, it becomes essential to promote reindustrialization based on the dual transition, climate and digital, in which innovation will play a decisive role.
Innovation is establishing itself as one of the fundamental pillars of economic competitiveness, contributing decisively to the growth model of any country. It is also an essential factor in improving people’s quality of life and transforming society.
PIEP , as the Technology and Innovation Center of the University of Minho, aware of the importance of innovation for the country’s economic growth, the challenges of the global context, and the urgency of European reindustrialization, aims, through the Innovation Forum , to create a true innovation hub capable of facilitating and promoting synergies between academia, industry, and the public sector, fostering a debate oriented towards our collective future.
Throughout the event, topics such as the future of automotive mobility , circular models as a factor of economic competitiveness, defense as a strategic opportunity, and innovation ecosystems as levers for a more competitive and sustainable economy will be analyzed and debated.
