Hack4Guimarães 2035 | What if you had 5 days to solve a problem that your city still doesn’t know how to solve?
That’s the question behind Hack4Guimarães 2035, which takes place as part of Economy Month.
This is not a theoretical exercise; it is a real challenge, with €20,000 in prizes at stake, proposed by companies in the region, in the areas of Aerospace, Protection and Defense, Smart Technologies, and Sustainability.
You join a team (or we help you find one), you build, you test, you present. In the end, you don’t just leave with an idea: you leave with a prototype that can continue to exist after the hackathon.
You don’t need a resume to participate. You need curiosity.

About Hack4Guimarães 2035
A week to build the future of Guimarães.
Hack4Guimarães 2035 is the innovation marathon of Guimarães Economy Month 2026. For one week, we bring together talent, companies, and technology centers around a simple yet ambitious question: how to transform Guimarães into a positive economy by 2035?
Bring your ideas, join a team, and build real solutions to the challenges that will define the region’s next decade. Finally, present your project to a jury, with the winners announced at the close of Economy Month.

The specific challenges, proposed by local companies, will be revealed at the start of the event.
Dates
October 19-23 — work week, in a hybrid format (in-person at CIAJG and online)
October 26th — Presentation of projects to the jury. October 28th — Announcement of winners and awards ceremony.
The essentials
Participation is free and open to those over 18 years of age. You can come alone or in a team (up to 5 members). If you come alone, we’ll help you find a team. You don’t need to be an expert: the best teams bring together technical, business, design, and communication profiles.
The project must be created from scratch during the hackathon, and the intellectual property of what you build remains with you and your team.
