Guimarães Municipality organizes a webinar session to explain the economic support mesures for companies within the scope of COVID-19 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we live in a period of rare exception that has caused the abrupt fall of markets and the economy. Instability and anguish has been increasing, exerting very significant impacts on companies. In the short term, it is possible to say that liquidity and treasury management problems are at stake and, in the medium term, the enormous shortage of capital and excessive dependence on the financial system.
In order to respond to the current situation, the Government has presented several support measures, with the objective of reducing the economic impact and offering assistance to companies’ treasury, in the face of a situation without comparison in contemporary history.
In this sense, the Municipality of Guimarães organizes the Webinar to promote an online clarification session, dedicated essentially to Startups and Micro Companies.
The session will take place on the 7th of May, at 15h-17h and will be attended by:

– Councilor of the Economic Development Division of the Municipality of Guimarães, Ricardo Costa
– Director of the Business Support Center of Northern IAPMEI, Jorge Oliveira
– Director of the Employment Center of Médio Ave, Helena Chaves

It should be remembered that the need to re-adapt companies is crucial in this time of crisis, where it is necessary to seek business opportunities and advice at all costs. These sessions aim to respond to such extreme and imperative needs, thus making the webinar so interesting and, at the same time, positive. Undoubtedly, it is positive moments and acts like these that mitigate and transform, in a way, any less happy situation. This is the importance of unity in this period of COVID-19.
