Infobus Desafios Jovens visits the city to empower young people in entering the labour market
Guimarães will host, on Friday, 30 January, the Infobus Desafios Jovens of the National Federation of Youth Associations (FNAJ), in an initiative taking place near the City Hall and involving more than 100 young people from different secondary schools in the municipality.
This travelling and dynamic awareness-raising initiative reaches young people directly, promoting their inclusion in the labour market in a sustainable and inclusive way, and reinforcing Guimarães’ commitment to youth, employment and entrepreneurship.
With the support of the Municipality of Guimarães, the initiative is part of the cross-border cooperation project Desafios Jovens, co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg Spain–Portugal programme. The project includes partnerships with FNAJ, IPDJ – Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, IEFP – Institute for Employment and Vocational Training, the Directorate-General for Youth of the Xunta of Galicia, and the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Santiago de Compostela.
The Infobus Desafios Jovens is touring the north of the country as part of a roadshow that began in late 2025 and will continue through the first half of 2026, comprising around 30 actions and aiming to reach approximately 3,000 young people. The sessions are led by a specialised facilitation team that promotes debate and group activities, delivering information, tools and inspiration in the areas of employability and youth entrepreneurship.
