On June 4th, at 2:30 PM, the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) in Barcelos will host the Open Knowledge Day, an initiative promoted in partnership with IAPMEI, dedicated to the theme “Building the Future with Sustainable Materials”.
The event aims to spark a discussion about the new European requirements on sustainability, circularity, and transparency that have a significant impact on the construction sector as well as other industrial value chains. It will be an opportunity for companies and institutions to strengthen their alignment with national and European climate goals, at a time when sustainability is no longer just an ethical choice but a vital condition for competitiveness.
In addition to covering the new European regulatory framework, the meeting will emphasize the importance of corporate policies guided by ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event targets companies, managers, researchers, students, and professionals interested in innovative solutions for sustainable construction and the strategic benefits of a green transition.
Participation is free, but registration is required. Check the full program here and register here.
