As part of the Set.Up IN(dustry) acceleration program, a Speed Meetings session was held yesterday, designed to create a direct interaction space between startups, mentors, industry representatives, investors, and other stakeholders within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The initiative aimed to encourage the exchange of experiences, provide strategic advice, and strengthen connections between participating projects and various sector actors, contributing to the development of solid strategies and the expansion of startups’ professional networks.
The format consisted of 20-minute rapid meetings, in which each startup remained at one table while the invited mentors rotated between tables, offering guidance, sharing experiences, and highlighting common mistakes in the early stages of the entrepreneurial journey. This methodology allowed entrepreneurs to receive direct and personalized advice, enhancing their strategic and management skills.
Several guests and experts attended, including Júlio Martins, Filipe Soutinho, Daniel Juncá (representing Lar de Santo António), Beatriz Costa (Orthos XXI), Albano Fernandes (AMF), Lurdes Francisco (CJR), André Fernandes (ACL Impex), CCG, Francisco Carvalho (Laboratório da Paisagem), and Abel André (LRC). The session also included participation from Eduardo Correia Silva (Interigiene), Catarina Macedo (Cruz Vermelha), and Telmo Santos (Centro de Computação Gráfica).
The Speed Meetings provided a unique opportunity for startups to deepen strategic skills, strengthen their networks, and benefit from the experience of professionals and specialists with consolidated knowledge across various sectors. Initiatives like this reinforce the role of Set.Up Guimarães in creating a solid, collaborative, and innovation-oriented entrepreneurial ecosystem.
