The Set.Up IN(dustry) acceleration program, promoted by the Municipality of Guimarães through Set.Up Guimarães, took another step yesterday in empowering entrepreneurs with the launch of the first bootcamp of its third edition, led by Paulo Freitas and dedicated to the theme “Strategy and Business Model.”
The session marked the start of the program’s intensive training and development phase, which supports innovative projects with potential connections to the local industry. This first bootcamp focused on defining solid positioning strategies and structuring sustainable business models, equipping participating startups to face market challenges and align their value propositions with the needs of the industrial sector.
As part of Guimarães’ Economy Month, Set.Up IN(dustry) once again establishes itself as an essential platform for fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. The initiative challenges young entrepreneurs and startups to transform creative, technological, and knowledge-intensive ideas into successful businesses with a direct impact on the region.
Over the coming months, the selected startups will take part in a series of training bootcamps, meetings with investors and companies, and specialized mentoring sessions, culminating in Demo Day, where they will present their projects to strategic partners.
Since its inception, Set.Up IN(dustry) has supported 54 startups, promoted over 300 hours of mentoring and consulting, 120 hours of training, and more than 60 meetings between startups, industry, and R&D centers — consolidating its position as a true driver of industrial innovation and entrepreneurship in Guimarães.
With the success of this first bootcamp, the program reinforces the commitment of Guimarães’ entrepreneurial ecosystem to sustainable economic development, positioning the city as a benchmark territory for value creation and the promotion of new ideas with real impact on the economy.
