Sílvia Correia, mentor of the Set.Up Guimarães community, saw her start-up re.store® receive the 2025 ODSlocal Award on November 21, in the Prosperity dimension, Projects category, for its positive impact on people and the planet through the reuse of textile waste and social inclusion.
For the Set.Up Guimarães community, this recognition reflects the professionalism, experience and vision of Sílvia Correia and highlights re.store® as an example of a business that combines environmental sustainability, social impact and economic value creation, reinforcing the mission of the local ecosystem to support innovative and purpose-driven solutions.
This distinction acknowledges the work carried out by re.store® over the last five years, during which it has reused more than 9.2 tons of textile waste and accessories from the national industry, directly remunerated over 70 thousand euros to its social partners including IPSS institutions, active aging centers, social associations, refugees and prison inmates, and participated in or organized more than 70 initiatives promoting responsible consumption and circular economy awareness.
This award adds to other recognitions received throughout this year, including the national victory at the European Enterprise Promotion Awards in the Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship category and the Best Use Case Award granted by INSURE.Hub at the 5th International Conference on Innovation, Sustainability and Regeneration at the Portuguese Catholic University.
re.store® continues to transform lives by promoting social inclusion, reducing the ecological footprint of the national textile industry and raising community awareness for more responsible consumption behaviours, fully aligned with the values and objectives of Set.Up Guimarães.
Sílvia Correia, when passion and creativity make a difference
Sílvia Correia has been a Set.Up Guimarães mentor since May of this year and is the founder and CEO of Creative Zone and re.store, as well as Regional Director of the APPM Marketing Club in Braga. She is a social entrepreneur, marketing consultant and promoter of volunteer projects, with a career focused on creating positive impact.
She is passionate about her work and considers herself fortunate to love what she does and do what she loves.
