MARITA SETAS FERRO

Marita Setas Ferro was born in 1967 in Beira, Mozambique. Master in Sculpture, Postgraduate in Design and Marketing – Clothing, Postgraduate in “Cultural Management in the cities” and professionalization in service. Her training was done and completed at CITEX – Fashion Design Course and at FBAUP – Plastic Arts – Sculpture.

 

She created and coordinated wardrobes for theater, opera, circus and ballet, as well as scenography. She created Marita Moreno brand in 2008, where develops designer pieces and sustainable accessory lines. Trainer and consultant in areas of design, textiles, fashion, and Plastic Arts.

 

In sculpture, she developes works with textiles, yarns, wool and leather, creating a series of “Soft Works” and “Wearable sculptures”. She belongs to associations in the area of Arts & Crafts and in the area of Sustainable Design. Marita Moreno won international MOMAD prize “Moda, Sostenibilidad y Negócio”.

 

Considered one of Top 100 Women in Fashion Tech by Women of Wearables. Marita Moreno was nominated (Dali Azores Shoes) for the Green Product Award.
