The Future Summit conference, promoted by AEP, AIMMAP and CEIIA, will take place on May 28, at the Exponor Auditorium in Leça da Palmeira, as part of the 20th edition of EMAF – International Fair of Machinery, Equipment and Services for Industry.
In an international context marked by geopolitical tensions and a new world order in the making, Portugal is preparing to discuss the role of technological innovation in Defence and Security.
With free participation upon mandatory registration, the event brings together key figures from politics, industry and research to reflect on the economic and strategic opportunities emerging in a rapidly transforming sector.
The opening session, scheduled for 2:30 PM, will feature Luís Miguel Ribeiro (President of AEP), Vítor Neves (President of AIMMAP) and Isabel Furtado (President of CEIIA).
At 3:00 PM, the keynote “The New World Order: The Demand for a Common Defence in Europe” will be delivered by Sérgio Sousa Pinto, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Foreign Affairs and Portuguese Communities Committee.
The programme continues with a panel discussion on the opportunities to develop a modern and innovative defence industry in Portugal, featuring Fernando Sousa, Rafael Campos Pereira and José Rui Felizardo, moderated by José Manuel Mendonça.
