Two startups from the Set.Up IN(dustry) acceleration program, developed by Set.Up Guimarães, took the stage at the University of Minho during the final session of SpinUM – the University of Minho’s Business Ideas Competition, organized by TecMinho.
Axios Care and Dermaleaf were among the projects that stood out throughout the afternoon, presenting innovative solutions to an audience filled with participants, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem experts.
Axios Care combines smart sensors and SaaS software to monitor residents in care homes and healthcare institutions in real time, ensuring greater safety, faster response times, and more efficient care team management. Dermaleaf repurposes Portuguese vineyard waste to develop natural and sustainable cosmeceuticals.
The event took place at the Gualtar Campus in Braga, bringing together six finalist projects that presented their pitches on stage. The initiative provided a valuable moment for sharing ideas, inspiration, and direct engagement with high-potential innovative solutions.
The participation of Axios Care and Dermaleaf reinforces the impact of the Set.Up IN(dustry) acceleration program in preparing startups for demanding pitching and validation contexts, highlighting the quality of projects emerging from the entrepreneurial ecosystem linked to the University of Minho.
