The Azurém Campus of the University of Minho hosted yesterday, September 17, another edition of Innovate & Entrepreneur, an event that brings together students, researchers, startups, and companies around innovation, talent, and entrepreneurship. With a diverse program of talks, debates, and presentations, the initiative has established itself as a meeting point between academia and the market, fostering new opportunities for collaboration and business.
Set.Up Guimarães was also present at the event with its own stand, showcasing the programs and initiatives it develops to support entrepreneurship and innovation in the region. Among the various exhibitors were two startups incubated at Set.Up Guimarães, both with their own stands: Zero-Day Labs and SCIENCENTRIS.
Zero-Day Labs is a technology startup specializing in the development of innovative cybersecurity solutions for OT systems that support the infrastructures of digital societies. With a focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), industrial, automotive, and aerospace sectors, the company mainly operates in a highly internationalized B2B environment, with key clients and partners in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Central Europe.
SCIENCENTRIS, a spin-off from the University of Minho, operates under the motto “From Knowledge to Market”, transforming scientific knowledge into concrete solutions for societal challenges. Its mission translates into consultancy and specialized services in the areas of sustainability, development and industrialization of innovative products, scientific and technological networking, and advanced training — generating a positive impact on the environment, society, and the economy.
The presence of these startups at the event reinforces the role of Set.Up Guimarães as an incubator of innovative and strategic companies for the region, highlighting the talent and dynamism of the local innovation ecosystem.
