On June 26, Set.Up Guimarães will host RegionX Norte, an initiative promoted by Startup Portugal aimed at strengthening the exchange of experiences and collaboration between regional entrepreneurial ecosystems.
The event will take place at the IDEGUI – Institute of Design of Guimarães, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and will bring together representatives from incubators, accelerators, universities, and public and private entities linked to innovation and economic development in the northern region of Portugal.
RegionX was created to identify the challenges and opportunities within each territory, fostering the co-creation of a shared vision and joint action plan for the future of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem. Guimarães will host the first edition of the initiative, which will later expand to the Centre, Alentejo, and Algarve regions.
The agenda includes networking moments, a guided tour of the incubator, presentations, and panel discussions. A highlight will be the panel “What Are Regional Ecosystems Made Of?”, featuring anticipated speakers such as António M. Cunha (President of CCDR-N), António Grilo (President of ANI), and Jorge Pimenta (Innovation Director at IPN), moderated by David Magboulé (LabtoMarket).
In the afternoon workshop, participants will be invited to reflect on existing resources, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in areas such as entrepreneurial education, regional funding, public policy, and support infrastructures for startups.
