On the extension of the RETOMAR GUIMARÃES Program
The incorporation of new CAE (Economic Activities) into the regulation “Retomar Guimarães – Extraordinary Program for Direct Support to the Local Economy” was approved by the Municipal Assembly. Now florists, kiosks, restaurants and cosmetic products, among others, are also covered by the program’s regulations.
With this change, the retail of newspapers, magazines and stationery items in specialized establishments is included; retail sale of cosmetics and hygiene products in specialized establishments; retail sale of flowers, plants, seeds and fertilizers in specialized establishments; traditional type restaurants; restaurants with counter seating; restaurants without table service; typical restaurants; restaurants with a space for dancing and ready-to-go meals.

This program consists of a non-refundable financial support, granted monthly and corresponding to 50% of the monthly charges with energy (gas and electricity) and environment (water, sanitation and solid waste) bills during the year 2021, with retroactive effect. to January 2021. This support from the Guimarães City Council aims to promote the proximity economy, with a focus on the sustainability of micro and small companies – including individual entrepreneurs, most affected by the pandemic crisis, as well as helping to maintain the work stations.
